three uses later...

My thoughts

I was drawn by the amla oil and attractive packing and the fact that it is a strictly moisturising  deep conditioner. And also the fact that Dark and Lovely have been trying to up their game of late. Their products are usually bad for me, with the exception of their cholesterol (but that was when I was relaxed, I must try it again).
It has a fragrance like that of men's cologne, don't know how else to put it. The colour is  a pale yellow and has a rather thick consistency.

On my initial application it did not have much slip. I used it with heat and after 1 hour, it did not absorb well. Even during the week, my hair did not feel as happy as it usually does.
On the next application, I mixed it with honey, aloe vera and olive oil. Better slip, more moisture retention. Still did not absorb as much.
The last time I used it, I mixed it with tresemme naturals nourishing conditioner, aloe vera, glycerine, honey and african pride miracle growth oil. It absorbed way better and I had more slip. It stops smelling like cologne and more sweet after using heat with it.

Well, it's just there for me. I wish it had more slip and absorbed better. But it can be redeemed if you are looking for a strictly moisturising deep conditioner and include other moisturising add-ons like honey, aloe, glycerine and oil. It could also make a good base product for your other hair mixes that may be protein or moisture based. Still not satisfied with it, I doubt I will repurchase. And my younger sister who is relaxed tried it, she also said it's not as moisturising and doesn't carry as much slip as she would like y'all.

Have you used the Dark and Lovely Amla Legend Replenishing Mask? What has been your experience with it?
