GlamLush Hair - Zamiwe

Hey Doves!

I'm back with another feature for you. This GlamLush mane was spotted at my friend's graduation. I stopped her to talk about her fro and catch an interview. Let's hear from Zamiwe!

1. Tell us about yourself and your hair.
My name is Zamiwe, from Kitwe, Zambia. I had permed/relaxed hair from the time I was 5 years old becausemy mother said it was too long and too thick to handle, until last year when I decided to go natural.

2. Do you have a regimen? Please share it.
I like for things to be quick and easy, so I just rinse my hair every morning in the shower and apply a mixture of extra virgin olive oil, castor oil, and rosemary oil. And then I shampoo and deep condition my hair once a month. Then co-wash every Friday or Saturday.

3. If you were taken to a secret destination and would only know it once you got there, what three products would you take with you?
Hmm.... Bobby pins, water and olive oil.

4. What is your favourite thing about your hair?
My hair! Lol... I love everything about it. It's coils, kinks, shrinkage, the thickness. I loooove it!

5. Do you have a motto for your hair?
Health over length! Keep it simple.

6. What got you interested in healthy hair care?
I've always been obsessed with my hair so healthy hair care has always been a priority for me. Only difference is now I don't use chemicals.

7. What factors do you think have contributed to your success so far?
Consistency. This is such a key factor because we get lazy and comfortable and start to procastinate. But once you're consistent then that's it, success!

8. What is the funniest or most memorable moment you have experienced your hair?
Just last week, a woman stopped me and asked me how much I bought my hair for.....Lol that i'm likely not to forget, I just showed her my hairline and she was really shocked.

9. Any tips for newbies?
Advice, hmm... Remember, if you want results, you need you need to be patient. It's not a competition. You need to love your hair, practice heatlthy techniques, don't hold on to damaged hair for length. And look to no one for validation, your hair is like no other.
