Uses

Found at
Pick 'n Pay, Spar, Shoprite and selceted pharmacies.

Price
K61 to K85 depending on where you get it from.

My Thoughts
This product really delivers on moisturising the hair and softening it. When conditioning, my hair felt hydrated and fluffly with the product in it. When I used it as a leave in conditioner, I noticed how remarkably soft my hair remained. The sweet, buttery and nutty aroma is also to be desired.  Considering its thick consistency, I do not think it would be suitable as a cowash, perhaps if it were watered down before applying it the hair. As it is thick, one does not need to use a lot of product and if used as a conditioner, you could get 5 to 6 uses. As a leave in, it could last a number of months.

Ingredients wise, it boasts with glycerine, shea butter, avocado oil, rosemary oil and palm oil. I believe this is what softens the hair. It is also paraben free for those looking for a conditioner that is more natural.
All in all , I have no complaints and this is fast becoming a product staple as I am on my second bottle now.

Deep Conditioning 101: Maintaining your Moisture - Protein Balance (With a great analogy)

Hey Doves!

Been a minute, and we can just pick up where we left off. Cool?

So I straightened my hair and washed it. I then kept my hair in mini twists for two weeks. I'll post that update later. Also it's been forever since I did a wash day post. I'll do that asap. And..oh yes a hair feature..time to get someone up to show their glam and lush hair. Ok so now that we have our scheduled updates out of the way, it's time to continue on the deep conditioning post I did last time. If you are new, kindly click on the link to read all about it, then head back here. It will make more sense.

So when we left off I explained what deep conditioning is, why we should do it, the types of deep conditioners you should use and how often. I also explained that you can have a balanced deep conditioner, a protein one or a moisturising one.

It is important to alternate the types of deep conditioners you use in order to keep your hair balanced. Protein strengthens and rebuilds your hair whilst moisture provides elasticity, moisture and bounce. So the reason you alternate is to keep a good amount of strength in your hair whilst maintaining the hair's elasticity and moisture levels. This balance creates strong, healthy and less breakage prone hair.

Keeping My Satin Scarf on for Good!

Hi, hi...

How are we my doves?
Protecting my hair at night with a satin scarf or bonnet has become a nightly ritual. I can't sleep thinking of my hair brushing against the cotton pillow case and getting dry with it uncovered. Everybody on a healthy hair journey and their mama knows what a pain it is to have their satin scarf come off in the middle of the night, and wake up in the morning to find it anywhere but on their head! Kinda left feeling like this when you wake up:
