DIY Protein Treatment Wash Day - Sunday 22 February

It has certainly been a long while since I posted a wash day.

Im going to give you a run down of my latest cleansing session. Unfortunately no pics as I just thought of them as I was writing this post (too absorbed in chatter lol).

I decided to do a DIY protein treatment as my hair was feeling rather soft and mushy and had a bit of breakage. So off to my aunt's place I went and decided to take advantage of the avocados and eggs there to pamper myself.

1. Finger detangled and preshampoo/protein treatment with a mix of blended avocado, 1 guinea fowl egg (yes guinea fowl and it worked well I might add), castor oil, some ors replenishing conditioner and a dollop of honey. Left that on for 30 to 40 mins then rinsed.

2. Shampooed with Sunsilk Co-Creations Anti Damage Shampoo to clarify. Left my scalp squeaky clean.

Molasses Wash Day

This was a wash day I did before I got twists installed.

One of my hair group members let me on about how she uses molasses during some of her wash days..so I sped off to the kitchen to put it to work.

Molasses is the by-product from the sugar refining process and is known to be a very good dietary supplement. It is rich in sulfur, iron, B vitamins, selenium, manganese, zinc, and copper.

Been a minute since I last did a wash day post. Here is a rundown of my last two cleansing sessions

Sunday 28 September 2014

1. Pre-shampooed overnight with coconut oil

2 Washed with Clicks Kids Detangling Shampoo ( Sulfate Free)

3. Deep Conditioned with ORS Nourishing Conditioner with heat, for 1 hour.

 It left my hair so soft, yet strong. I was in mini-twists so 1 packet was sufficient for the whole head.

4. Rinsed out and did an apple cider vinegar rinse.

5. Air dried, then applied sta sof fro braid spray and tropical hair butter

Wash Day: Braids Edition

Hey hey. This is was how my wash day went down last week Sunday (3 August). Seeing as I had braids, I  decided not to fuss too much about it. I had washed it the previous week as well, but it was nothing to write home about. So here we go.

1. Pre-shampooed for 1 hour with olive oil

2. Shampooed with ORS Invigorating Shampoo

Anyways this wash day was very aloe vera themed for some reason. It just "happened" to me, I kid you not.

I had my wash day this past sunday. I preshampooed at around  1 or 2, but only started out with the actual washing a lil late in the evening afternoon at 5:30 so I was done at 9 pm. Don't know why I start wash days so late these days...
