All Things in Season - Loss

Hello my Doves..

The blog has been inactive for the past month or so because I lost my mother on 6th November 2015. It has been a hard and painful time for the whole family. I really wish it were different, but i'm glad for the time we had together. Adjusting to this new reality will take some time.

We were very close and I always took the opportunity to make sure she knew how loved, cherished and appreciated she was. That gives me a lot of peace despite her absence. She was my blog's biggest fan and I took her on the hhj I had embarked upon. In this time I take comfort in the fact that she died in Christ and we shall meet again at the resurrection. Her death has given me one more reason to live the life God intends for us, so that we meet again. Never wait to tell a loved one you care! I was lucky we shared such an open and close relationship. You can do the same in yours, this life is way too uncertain, unexpected and volatile to take those close to you for granted. Bleed love! I want to take this into all my other relationships as well :-)

And as I write this, there are a million feelings swirling in my heart. Death puts a lot of things in perspective for everyone. My relationship with God has been the greatest comfort from day to day. The most important thing in life is to ensure you have a personal relationship with Christ, not because you don't  want to miss out on heaven, but because He first loved us and He gives us purpose and meaning in this life. "God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do and it gave Him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace He has poured out to us who belong to His dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that He purchased our freedom with the blood of His Son and forgave our sins. Ephesians 1:5- 7. (New Living Translation). When I think of that, I can't help but be filled with love for the One who loved me before I even truly knew Him, or wanted to have a close relationship with Him.

He has given each of us a purpose for this life. "Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began" 2 Timothy 1:9 (New King James Version).  The fact that you and I are around today, this very moment, means that there is a greater work for us to accomplish. So earnestly pray and ask the Lord to show you what His plans are for your life and in living out your purpose. You will find your greatest fulfilment in that. For purpose determines design and nature.... it is what you are made for. And that is why you may not find true satisfaction in your current occupation or place, because you were not meant for that task. Ultimately when you find your purpose, you find your joy. We must not lose sight of the fact that our ultimate purpose is to bring others to Christ.

I started this blog because I felt burdened with a lot of information that I wanted to share with hair enthusiasts and women who wanted more from their crowning glory. I will continue to do so because it gives me great pleasure to help. I am working on improving the blog content and look. It has been on  my mind for the past two to three months or so. This means that new content may not be up so soon as I work behind the scenes to improve GlamLush Hair.

My heartfelt thanks to hair friends, friends and family for their support during  this time.

Till the next post...
