The GlamLush Fro of Late + New Regimen

Hi Doves!

This is just an update on my hair and the new regimen im implementing.

Over the past almost two and a half months I have had my hair out for about three weeks.... You may have seen these styles already on my facebook page

Cheat's Updo

Halo twists

Cheat's Flexi Rod Set

Then I put it into these fiery red braids that I simply cannot get enough of! They definitely bring out the wilder edgier side and are great fun. However they are clocking about 5 weeks old now and i'm ready to take them down (reluctantly).

Feeling myself whilst trying on new specs

Whilst I had them in I followed my usual regimen of moisturising daily with a braid spray, washed weekly or every week and a half, depending on how busy I was and oiling my scalp.

I am currently on day 5 of inversion too. I haven't inverted since March of this year! So it was about time I hopped back onto the bandwagon seeing as it was part of my new year's resolutions.

Part two of my action plan is to get into wigging. I noticed how much length I retained with it last year. I have already bought the extensions I want and will soon be making my wigs. So with my wigging regimen, I plan to wig for the rest of the year till December. Weekly washing and scalp oiling plus inversion. I also intend on investing in more protein products as my hair is getting longer and I want to keep it intact, better able to withstand breakage as it grows. The new part of my regimen is basically taking my hair completely out of the hair dresser's hands and back into my own.

In other mane matters, im testing out some new products, stay tuned for reviews! Anyone use the Texture My Way before? Youtube and a few hair friends have been telling me it's awesomelicious! Still on that products note, I will be posting my 2015 staples write-up soon, for those who want an update on what im using for wash days.

The Dark 'n Lovely is not new. It just happened to be in the pic.

Last but not least, I am now a contributor for African Naturalistas!! If  you don't know about it, it is a leading African natural hair blog, based in Nigeria that focuses on being a resource for all things healthy and glam hair for the everyday naturalista. I'm so happy and humbled to be a part of the team. You can catch my posts over there on Fridays.

And that is the GlamLush Fro of late :-)
