Jumbo Braids

Hi my Doves :-)

I got tired of the wigging and decided on some braids for a few weeks. Im still salon phobic for now, so cousin did them for me. I didn't have to blow my hair out, I just detangled and stretched it with thread. I think i'll keep them in for three weeks because they are so big. Anyhoo we'll see how long they last.

I'll maintain these like I always do when i'm in braids. I moisturise with my trusty sta-sof-fro braid spray every day. Yesterday I cleaned my scalp with a cotton ball dipped in a mix of water, aloe vera and apple cider vinegar to refresh it till wash day. The acv will help with any itchy scalp issues and of course we all know of my love for aloe. Then the first wash will be after two weeks (to keep it looking fresh), then weekly after that. Braids wash days are the fastest and most simple. I'll oil my scalp as needed and of course satin bonnet or scarf at night. Pretty simple routine, which is why I love them so much.

What protective styles are you rocking?
